We have sex because it feels good. You know this. But why does sex feel so good? Like, why exactly did we evolve to have orgasms? No one’s complaining. But it is curious. This week for Hard Science Justin Lehmiller breaks down three theories why women have orgasms.

When it comes to orgasms, recently, there’s been a lot of talk about how often folks fake ‘em. In this case, we mean men faking the shakes and quivers, exaggerating their moans and groans, even falsifying the final climax. Which is tricky. According to the numbers, in the UK, 1 in 3 men fake it. However, women do remain the ones more likely to lie about reaching full release. And let’s be real, since their orgasms are all over the place, they have way more to work with.
